Magister Study Program of Coastal and Marine Resources Management

The aim of organizing master study program is to produce graduates who are able to develop knowledge in the field of coastal and marine resource management through the application of integrated approaches, methods and analysis of ecosystem-based coastal and marine resources based on spatial and temporal planning, carrying capacity and optimization of sustainable development in coastal and ocean areas.

Becoming a leading research-based study program in the development of science and technology in optimal and sustainable management of coastal and tropical ocean resources .

    1. Organizing master level education to produce human resources/graduates who are noble, independent, professional and competent in research development in the field of coastal and marine tropical resource management.
    2. Developing science and technology for managing coastal and tropical marine resources through various advanced research as a basis for developing quality and beneficial human resources.
    3. Developing cooperation and networking for science and technology services in the integrated management of coastal and tropical marine resources and socializing and implementing them for the welfare of the nation.

Able to develop science, technology and art in the field of integrated management of coastal and marine resources through spatial and temporal planning approaches for the utilization of coastal and marine resources based on carrying capacity and the principles of sustainable development in coastal and marine areas to produce innovative and tested scientific work.

    1. Able to master and develop knowledge about the typology and dynamics of coastal and marine ecosystems with a system ecology approach and socio-ecological systems.
    2. Able to master and develop knowledge about spatial and temporal planning in the context of coastal and marine ecological systems, measuring carrying capacity and optimizing the utilization of coastal and marine resources.
    3. Able to master and develop knowledge about mechanisms and institutional arrangements for integrated coastal and marine management.
    4. Able to solve problems of science, technology and or art in the context of the ecological complexity of coastal and marine systems.
    5. Able to solve problems of science, technology in measuring carrying capacity and optimizing the utilization of coastal and marine resources through approaches to conservation and utilization of resources, spatial and temporal planning in the management of coastal and marine resources.
    6. Able to solve problems of science, technology in the institutional arrangement of integrated coastal and marine resource management both through the conservation approach and the utilization of coastal and marine resources.
    7. Able to manage research and development and communicate the results to the scientific community and the general public both at the national and international levels.
    8. Able to write publications and research results communication techniques for coastal and marine resource management communities at the level of coastal management actors.
    9. Able to write publications and research results communication techniques for coastal and marine resource management communities at the level of decision makers and coastal and marine management policies.

    3. Develop an integrated management system for coastal, small island and marine resources through evaluation and planning to produce works that are novel and innovative.
