Ecological Forensics:
Tracking anthropogenic contaminants (Pb and Fe)

ECOLOGICAL FORENSICS Tracking anthropogenic contaminants (Pb and Fe) due to the melting of used batteries that are absorbed into the digestive system of aquatic biota that live as benthic at the bottom of the river. In this study, Ayu Septiana Lestari examines the bioaccumulation of the 2 metals in the body of the Susuh Kura (Sulcospira testudinaria) and its relationship to river water quality. With this research, it can be revealed to what extent these contaminants pollute the aquatic environment. This research was supervised by Prof. Etty Riani who has many international publications on Ecotoxicology. Congratulations to Ayu on your timely graduation from Department of Aquatic Resources Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB University.
